Freedom House România is a non-profit, nonpartisan organization that promotes values encompassing freedom, democracy, the rule of law and human rights. The Foundation has over 20 years of experience in managing programs with external and internal funding and its main projects respond to exigencies related to mass-media, justice and anticorruption, public administration and communication, human rights protection et alia.

It is our conviction that Freedom is possible only in a democratic political system that guarantees diversity of opinions, freedom of expression, the right to free information, free association and faith, protection, and respect for the rights of minorities. Freedom House Romania supports non-violent civic initiatives in societies where freedom is denied or threatened and challenges any ideas and initiatives that contravene the right to be free of every human being.

The organization conducts various seminars for journalists who respect the mission of being in the civil service. The project addresses topics such as video journalism, legal protection action, public transparency etc.

PressHub is a hub for independent local media powered by Freedom House Romania. The network consists of 30 media outlets all over Romania, engaging more than 50 journalists, quality content and cross publishing.
